Dear Parents, I am excited about having your child in my class this year for math. I am looking forward to a great, fun year. Each day we will be working on math facts. We will take a three minute quiz and I will circle 10 problems for them to write five times each Monday-Thursday. If they return their math facts homework each day for six weeks, they will receive an extra hundred in the gradebook. However, if they do not do the math facts for homework, they will be expected to complete them during lunch recess. We will start with addition, then subtraction, and on to multiplication by the second six weeks. There will be times when they will also have math homework from the lesson we do that day. They will be expected to bring those assignments back to school completed the next day. Not turning in assignments on time will affect your child's math grade and citizenship grade. Daily work will count for seventy-five percent of your student's six weeks grade and tests will make up the other twenty-five percent. Grades will be able to be viewed through parent portal and graded papers will be passed back to students to bring home. Thank you, Mrs. Maben
